I recently discovered Writing Efficient CSS, an excellent article by David Hyatt.

David gives a high level overview on how the browser processes a CSS file. He provides 8 tips for how to optimize your CSS for performance. The advice is simple, and easy to implement.

The article does not discuss the effects of multiple stylesheets, preferred stylesheets, imported stylesheets, or any creation of stylesheets. Further discussion on these topics would help.

I will be implementing these techniques in my work to come.
